In case you have not heard, tomorrow (Friday, December 16) will be very cold. We expect temperatures in the morning to feel like –15 degrees and gusts of winds that will whip up to 40-50 mph. At this time, we anticipate that we will have a regularly scheduled school day and don't anticipate a delay or a school cancelation. However, please do keep an eye out for communication from us later this evening in case events change. We would like to recommend the following: ensure your child has on attire for the winter weather (I.e. hat, gloves, winter jackets and multiple layers). In addition, ensure your child is not outside in the cold for prolonged periods of time. This might mean waiting in a car by the bus stop, driving your child to school, or finding alternative transportation modes with friends or relatives to school. Our elementary schools will open as early as 7:30 a.m. in case parents/guardians need to drop off their children before their commute to work. Please contact the main office with any questions or concerns.
Here is the list of remaining PTO meeting dates. Hope to see you there!
The PTO meeting scheduled for tonight has been cancelled. We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting in the new year, Jan. 10th! Have a wonderful rest of the week.

We're on the lookout for some holiday elves to come and help out at the Plympton Holiday Shop, open to students on December 15th & 16th! Each classroom will have a scheduled time to visit the store and purchase small gift items for family members; prices range from $1-$3 per item. We need help setting up the store on Wednesday afternoon, and then to be personal shoppers, cashiers, and gift wrap helpers on Thursday and Friday, during the school day. If you haven't joined us before, it is really heartwarming to see the students carefully pick out gifts for their families. All are welcome, but you must have a CORI to volunteer during the shopping hours. Please visit the online signup at https://goo.gl/J97dIo to let us know when you can help!
We are also collecting donations of holiday gift wrap for our shoppers to use to wrap their purchases. If you can, please send any gift wrap into the office, there is a bin where it can be dropped off. Thank you so much for helping us keep this tradition for our students!
Notices will be coming home closer to the shopping dates with blank shopping lists to fill out with your student(s), and labeled ziploc bags to hold their lists and their shopping money. Please keep an eye out for this information coming home in student folders. If you have questions, please contact Kristin Perez at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 781-307-5414. Thanks!
